I'm Ricky Shan — a licensed CPA who believes that great financial guidance should be personal, honest, and accessible to everyone.

My path to Shan CPA PLLC wasn't a straight line. I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, then spent time at PwC Tax, worked as an IRS Revenue Agent reviewing returns from the government's side of the table, and audited at PriceKubecka PLLC. That range — tax, audit, and accounting — is what clients get access to now.

What kept me in this field wasn't the technical work itself. It was the conversations: a small business owner finally understanding why their tax bill looked the way it did, or a family getting a clear picture of their finances for the first time.

I started this practice because small businesses and families deserve the same level of expertise large corporations take for granted — real guidance from someone who knows your situation and has a stake in your outcome.
